Cherie Kerr | Meet The Founder

Cherie Kerr is the founder and creative force behind Ree-Invent Films, an award-winning independent production company committed to bold, satirical, and meaningful comedic storytelling. Under her leadership, Ree-Invent has produced multiple full-length feature comedies and shorts—collectively winning over 42 awards for its four features and comedy shorts along the indie film festival circuit.
A founding member of the L.A. Groundlings and the founder of The Orange County Crazies, Kerr has been a longtime advocate for original comedic voices. A pioneer in improv and sketch comedy, Kerr brings decades of experience as a writer, director, producer, and performer to every project.
She has also authored 16 books, trained hundreds of Fortune 100 and 500 executives in presentation and communication skills through her company ExecuProv, and earned national recognition for her crisis PR strategies through KerrPR, her award-winning 47-year old public relations firm.
Ree-Invent Films reflects Kerr’s lifelong mission: to create films that entertain, challenge, and uplift—through comedy—works that deliver more than just laughs.
Kerr has won numerous awards for her work over the years, including having been named “One of the Top Ten Most Sensational People in Orange County,” and the “Helena Modjeska Cultural Legacy Award,” for her work in comedy.
